Hannah and Chris’ backyard wedding was a heartfelt celebration, filled to the brim with meaningful and wonderfully eclectic DIY details. Every aspect of their day honored the qualities they value deeply: love, family, creativity, and teamwork.
Not long before their wedding, Hannah and Chris purchased Hannah’s childhood home. They spent months beautifully and industriously renovating it together. They transformed the large backyard into a gorgeous oasis, and the perfect space to say their vows and host an intimate dinner with their closest friends and family.
The thought, care, planning, and attention to detail Hannah and Chris put into their wedding was seriously amazing! Hannah planted an enormous garden, and the flowers were used in all of the decor. Amy Johnson, of Urban Flowers NW, masterfully crafted the most stunning bouquets and wove the colorful blooms through the greenery that hung from the reception tent. Hannah thrifted nearly all of the lovely peach depression glasses and vintage dinnerware for their reception. She also collected the sweetest feathers left behind from her beloved pet chickens and incorporated them in the boutonnieres! Chris (a shameless shoe addict) had a shiny new pair of Air Jordan’s customized for the wedding. And the list goes on!
While the details were both so personal and gorgeous, the true focus of the day was the love Hannah and Chris shared and the immense joy they felt to be dedicating their lives to one another. There were many happy tears… many, many happy tears!
Congratulations, Hannah and Chris! What an honor it was to document your incredible day. We love you!
